This menu for the website is dedicated to Registration.   In this section are co-located all the functions associated with signing up to be an technical attendee, companion, visitor to the exhibit hall, participant in a collateral meeting, exhibitor, job fair particpant, paper submittal, proposals for workshops, tutorials, special sessions, experiments, demos and product application.   For the convenience of the website visitor we have duplicated some links for registration functions with their appropriate program description; however anything, everything and all things associated with enrolling, joining, proposing, submitting and etc is included here.

 

The preferred way to “Register” is to do so on-line, and for submission of papers it is the only way to do so.  Where a form can be mailed, FAXed or email it is provide on that page.

 

The Registration Instruction provided below are to clarify the details for registering for the various items included in this section.

 

Registration Instructions:

1.    Technical Attendees
Register to attend the symposium by clicking the “Attendees” menu.  The next page shown is a matrix of registration categories, associated prices and program elements. The major categories are attendance at the 2010 International Symposium on EMC (ISEMC) or Product Safety Engineering Society Colloquium (PSES-C) or both events.  Under each event are options for full attendance (5 days for the ISEMC or 3 day for the PSES-C) or single day participation and various rates for member, non-members, retired, unemployed, IEEE Life members, EMCS Life Awards.  There is an early and late registration fee associated with all of these.  At the top of the Attendee registration page are buttons to jump to the desired program event.  Click on the appropriate registration description and be linked to the registration pages where personal information and credit card data will be collected.  Also at this point the person being registered will be given the option to purchase a seat in the Global University, tours, and additional copies of the Symposium Digest (CD or hard copy) and note any food restrictions. Each technical attendee must register separately.  An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address give during registration showing the information collected and options purchased.  The full technical attendee registration include free membership in IEEE, EMCS and PSES; to activate the free membership the attendee must fill out the membership application provided in the attendee tote bag and bring it to the IEEE EMCS booth in the exhibit hall.  To make reservations for the Post Symposum cruise please call our cruse agency as described in the Program pages

2.    Exhibit Hall/Job Fair/Meeting Attendees
Registers to attend the symposium by clicking the “Attendees” menu.  The next page shown is a matrix of registration categories, associated prices and program elements.  Under the major categories of 2010 International Symposium on EMC (ISEMC) are options for all 5 days or single day access to TC/WG/Collateral Meetings (Monday through Friday), the Exhibit Hall (Tuesday though Thursday) and Job Fair (Wednesday).  At the top of the “Attendee” page are buttons to jump to the ISEMC registrations.  Click on the 5 day or single day Exhibit Hall/Job Fair/Meetings registration description and be linked to the registration pages where personal information collected.  A series of check boxes will be provided to indicate if the registration is for any combination of Exhibit Hall, Job Fair, Meetings, and for the 1 day option which day or days registration is desired.  Also, at this point the person being registered will be given the option to purchase reception tickets, Gala tickets, Awards Luncheon tickets , tours, and copies of the Symposium Digest (CD or hard copy), provide credit card data to pay for optional purchases and note any food restrictions.  Each Exhibit Hall/Job Fair/Meetings Attendee must register separately even though this item is free..  An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address give during registration showing the information collected and options purchased.

3.    Companion Attendees
Register to participate at the symposium by clicking on the "Attendees" menu.  The next page shown is a matrix of registration categories, one of which is Companion Program.  The options are Companion Club, Junior Technical Program, Exhibit Hall Pass and Tours.  The associated prices and program elements are show on the matrix.  At the top of the attendee registration page is a button to jump to the Companion Program registration matrix. .Click on the appropriate registration description and be linked to the registration page where companion personal information and credit card data will be collected.  Also at this point the person being register will be given the option to purchase tours, reception tickets, Gala tickets, Awards Luncheon tickets and etc.  Each companion must register separately, even if the program item is free. 4.    Exhibitors
Register to attend the symposium by clicking the "Exhibitors" menu.  There will be shown a matrix of exhibit booth and exhibit booth staff registration categories, associated prices and program elements.  Click on the appropriate rate and be linked to the registration pages where information will be collected and addition booths can be ordered. When registering for an exhibit booth the registration page will collect company information and personal information for the one technical registration allowed per booth.  If the registration is for booth staff the link will collect information for an ‘exhibitor staff” exhibit hall only pass.  Exhibit staff that would like to have a full or single day technical registration should use the Technical Attendee reservation (as described in 1 above), an option will be provide during registration to indicate the person is part of an exhibit booth staff.  In all cases, the person being registered will be given the option to purchase Tours, copies of the Symposium Digest (CD or hard copy), Reception tickets, Gala tickets, Awards Luncheon tickets, (note an food restrictions) and etc as appropriate. Each exhibitor staff member must register separately. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address give during registration showing the information collected and options purchased.  In the spring this page will also provide links to order decortor, utilities and dryage services for the convetion hall.

5.    Job Recruiters for the Job Fair
Registration is for person who works for a company looking for engineers to hire.  Click on the "Exhibitors" menu and next will be shown a matrix with the Job Recruiter for the Job Fair registration along with Exhibitor Booth registration categories, associated prices and program elements.  Click on the Job Recruiter for the Job Fair registration and be linked to the registration pages where information will be collected for the one recruiter associated with the registration.  The registration site will allow the purchase of additional tables for the job fair and private interview spaces.  If there are more Job Fair Recruiters from the same company, there is a link to register and collect information for them as recruiter staff under the exhibit hall/Job Fair/Meetings registrant.  Job Fair Recruiter staff that would like to have a full or single day technical registration should use the Technical Attendee registration (as described in 1 above), an option will be provide during registration to indicate the person is part of an Job Fair Recruiter staff..  In all cases, person being registered will be given the option to purchase tours, copies of the Symposium Digest (CD or hard copy), Reception tickets, Gala tickets, Awards Luncheon tickets, note any food restrictions and etc as appropriate. Each Job Fair Recruiter staff member must register separately. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address give during registration showing the information collected and options purchased.

6.    Hotel Reservations
These are made by clicking on the "Hotels" menu option.  A new page will show the reservation site managed by the Fort Lauderdale Housing Bureau. Provide the requested information and start searching for available rooms and make reservation on-line.  There is also Hotel Reservation Form on the Event -  Hotel Info page that can be used instead of online reservations, for 10 or more blocks of rooms, a special request (handicap access, room upgrades, adjoining rooms, etc.)

7.    Financial Support
Requests are submitted by clicking the "Financial Support" menu.  There is information shown about the EMCS Financial Support program for disadvantage engineers and links to the EMCS website for more information and associated forms.

8.    Technical Submissions
To participate in the symposium, click on the "Technical Submissions" menu.  A link is provided to the Paper Registration site for submitting paper to be presented as an Oral and Chart presentation or as a Visual Poster Paper.  Several other links are provided for the proposal of workshops/tutorialsSpecial/Invited Sessionsexperiments& demonstrationscomputer modeling & simulations  or  product applications.  All of these link to pages that ask for the proposal information.  More links are provided to request meeting room space for TC,  EMCS or other meetings.  A separate Technical Submission is required for each paper, proposal or meeting request. 9.    Patron Program sponsorship is made by click on the "Patron Program" menu option.  A new page will show the options for sponsoring various options to make connection with the attendees at the symposium.  Pick the options you want to sponsor.  The registration page will take the sponsors information.  An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address give during registration showing the information collected and options where sponsorship is desired.  A committee representative will contact the sponsor to work out the details and collect the money being donated.
